We are only 46km from Girona airport, from where you can rent a car. There are alternative airports at Barcelona (145 km) and across the French border at Perpignan (70km).
Driving Directions
From the AP-7 take Junction 6, direction Banyoles.
Once on the dual carriageway, follow signs to Banyoles and Mata.
Leave the dual carriageway on the right hand lane (still following Banyoles and Mata signs) and at the roundabout, take the exit for Banyoles and Mata.
Follow the road until you come to a group of supermarkets (Intermarche and Lidl) and at this roundabout, follow signs for Mieres and Santa Pau.
Stay on this road until you reach Banyoles lake where you turn left towards Porqueres, Santa Pau and Mieres (13km).
Follow this road until you reach the village of Mieres.
Pass through Mieres, staying on the same road. You will see the church and the restaurant Can Met on the left hand side.
Several hundred metres after Can Met, go straight on past a left turn towards the sports centre (signed Zona Esportiva) and after a further 500 metres, where the road curves to the right, you will find an unmade road on the left hand side, marked by a small tree. The unmade road climbs the hill towards a cluster of four or five buildings, one larger than the others. Take this road. The large farmhouse is Mas Planella.
